What does “Virasat” mean?
Virasat (विरासत) is a Hindi word that means “heritage” or “legacy.”
It is what’s passed down, not just in objects, but in rituals, scent, and memory.
Scent Profile: Floral · Spicy · Woody · Sacred
Note from the Perfumer: Virasat is 'Heirloom in a Bottle'
Virasat is not made, it’s remembered.
This scent is an ode to what we inherit through generations:
The sandalwood stored in wedding trunks.
The aroma of cardamom steeping in chai at dusk.
The quiet reverence of a handwritten letter, folded and refolded.
Grounding spices come together to evoke the feeling of something sacred - timeless, rooted, and deeply personal. Wearing it feels like stepping into a memory that was waiting for you all along.

Virasat is an all- time favorite. Wonderfully lasting, reminiscent of the best nag champa.
I usually don’t write reviews for perfumes, but this one genuinely stayed with me. Virasat by Mitti Parfum feels less like a fragrance and more like a memory bottled with care.
From the very first spray, there’s a warmth that instantly reminded me of Indian family homes — the kind where generations live under one roof, where traditions quietly pass from elders to children without being forced. There’s something deeply comforting about it. It doesn’t scream for attention, and it doesn’t try to be flashy or overly modern. Instead, it feels grounded, calm, and honest — exactly like its name suggests.
What really stands out is how balanced the perfume is. It’s rich without being heavy, traditional without feeling outdated. You can sense that this is not a factory-made scent designed by marketing teams, but something crafted by people who understand culture, soil, roots, and emotions. Knowing that “Mitti” literally means soil makes perfect sense — the fragrance feels earthy in the best way, like it belongs to the land it came from.
Virasat gives off a strong family vibe — the kind that makes you feel safe, nostalgic, and proud of where you come from. It’s the type of perfume that feels appropriate for daily wear, festivals, family gatherings, or even quiet evenings. It doesn’t overpower others, yet people notice it and ask about it.
This perfume feels like a tribute — to Indian roots, to family values, and to slow, meaningful craftsmanship. If you’re someone who appreciates authenticity over trends, and emotions over loud branding, Virasat is truly special.
I wore Virasat as my signature scent for quite some time. It’s strong, long-lasting and versatile. I feel this is perhaps one of the most iconic fragrances ever launched and there’s something about it that keeps me as a buyer coming even today.
I think it’s something for everyone for all the age group on multi occasions. I think Virasat may be the best selling of this brand, but it is very mature.
My experience with the Virasat gave me confidence to try other products of Mitti Parfum and resulting me placing a bulk order from Mitti Parfum to make them a part of my wedding’s favor. I also can not thank enough to Mitti Parfum for personalized packaging for my wedding favor which created long-lasting memories for us and our guests. We are able to confidently claim basis on our guests’ feedback that it their favorite scent and raving about its longevity.
Ordered Virasat by Mitti Parfum after trying the discovery set — and I’m so glad I did. This fragrance is stunning. The earthy notes are beautifully grounded, and the sandalwood in particular is exceptional: warm, smooth, and incredibly refined. It feels authentic, not synthetic or loud.
You can truly sense the master craftsmanship behind this scent — it’s thoughtful, balanced, and evolves gracefully on the skin. Virasat feels timeless and soulful, the kind of fragrance that stays with you.
Mitti Parfum has officially earned my trust. I can’t wait to explore more from the brand in the future.
Let customers speak for us
from 38 reviewsI ordered the discovery set and instantly fell in love, but Shikara completely stole the show. It’s elegant, smooth, and beautifully balanced — the kind of scent that feels luxurious without trying too hard. There’s something effortlessly refined about it that makes it wearable for both everyday moments and special occasions. The craftsmanship truly shows in the depth and longevity. Rani Pink is stunning as well, but Shikara is the one I keep reaching for. Absolutely full-bottle worthy.
Bitter orange and sparkling lime give way to a delicate jasmine. It warms up and gets deeper as the pachouli peaks through. Enchanting!
Virasat is an all- time favorite. Wonderfully lasting, reminiscent of the best nag champa.
These are some of the most unique scented perfumes. The deliberate selection of notes is not overwhelming with a large bloat list of notes that get lost on the skin. I can smell each one and the combinations a fantastic, crisp, clean, not chemicals, artificial. I do not get a headache from the scent left on the skin. They are all definitely unique not like the overly done vanilla or Tonka leather cherry that’s being mass produced in most perfumes. I wore each scent for a week before I made my choice. Definitely worth the price without a doubt. I think I found my new favorite. I discovered you through a perfume connoisseur on TikTok. Mr. and Mrs. sniff
Rani Pink is sensational! Such a beautifully unique scent that sparks joy. I often remind myself that I am every age I have ever been, and this playful yet sophisticated scent is the embodiment of that sentiment. Next on my wish list is Shikara!
I was so excited to receive my sample set of these gorgeous little liquid arts, and they didn’t disappoint. Each one is different but beautiful, and all are complex and unusual enough to keep me constantly sniffing myself as I sample them. I’m not sure which is my favorite yet, but I will definitely be buying at least one full size perfumes. Exquisite!
Mohey is not my typical scent profile but it was my favorite in the discovery set. It's earthy, soulful, gentle, nostalgic, comforting and perfectly blended. It reminds me of a walk in the forest on a balmy evening. Mohey is warm without sweetness, sweet without sugar & wonderfully unique.
I love Mohey. The petrichor fragrance brings back memories of sitting on my grandmother's porch swing in deep central Kentucky as the smell of wet earth and lush plants released with the first heavy drops of rain fell from the hollow below. The lime is subtle and adds a nice brightness to the cozy warmth of the base notes. I truly love it.
Just got my nose on this today and WOW! THIS is a unique scent profile. The clove note is so well done. It's there but as a supporting note, not the main character. The berries last for hours and the drydown to vanilla and cedar wood evolve slowly so you get a good long evolution. Even though this is a bubble gum fragrance it is a sophisticated gourmand and works well for all seasons.
Virasat by Mitti Parfum is one of those rare perfumes that doesn’t try to impress you instantly — instead, it grows on you quietly, layer by layer.
The first thing I noticed was how natural the fragrance feels. There’s nothing synthetic or harsh about it. It opens softly, settles beautifully, and stays close to the skin in a very elegant way. This isn’t a perfume that wants to dominate a room — it wants to belong in it. That alone makes it stand out in today’s world of overpowering scents.
What I truly admire is the philosophy behind the brand. “Mitti” meaning soil isn’t just a name — it’s clearly a concept they’ve carried into the perfume itself. Virasat feels rooted, warm, and familiar, almost like the scent equivalent of sitting in your grandparents’ home, surrounded by calm conversations and unspoken love.
There’s a strong sense of Indian heritage in this fragrance, but it’s presented in a very refined, modern way. It respects tradition without feeling stuck in the past. You can wear it to work, to family occasions, or even casually, and it always feels appropriate. It gives off a clean, confident, and composed aura.
What makes Virasat special is that it feels made with intention. You can tell it’s coming from a family-driven business that values craftsmanship over mass production. There’s heart in this perfume, not just formulation.
If you’re looking for a scent that represents culture, family roots, and authenticity — something that feels personal rather than commercial — Virasat is absolutely worth experiencing.
